EMERGENCY SHELTER

The three-bed shelter opened its doors on January 24, 2022. The shelter is available to male, female and LGBTQA individuals ages 16 years and over.

The project is currently funded through Reaching Home Rural and Remote Funding Stream and Newfoundland & Labrador Housing Corporation.  The shelter is intended for short-term stay, while staff work with those staying there to find permanent housing.

Individuals needing shelter can contact the Labrador West Emergency Shelter at (709) 288-0392 between 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.

Individuals needing assistance after 11:00 pm may contact the Emergency Housing line at 1-833-724-2444.

Please note: This is a dry shelter. No drugs or alcohol are allowed on the premises.
